For owners who fear slopping Bolognese sauce on their DSs, Cooking Guide will respond to voice commands, and will repeat steps as many times as required for slower cooks. The game also includes a glossary with “in-depth illustrated details on everything from chopping techniques to explaining cooking terminology,” as well as a shopping list and egg timer. Personal Trainer: Cooking is a training title that brings gourmet cooking from around the globe to your Nintendo DS. It features a DS Chef, your own private cooking instructor who talks you through 245+ recipes from over 30 countries worldwide. Its a combination of interactive cookbook and live cooking demonstration thatll have you cooking like a pro, even if youve never lifted a ladle before. Cooking Guide includes more than 200 recipes from around the world. So no matter what you’re in the mood for, you can find something new and tasty to make for dinner. Users can search a map by country to find regional dishes or select options for low-calorie foods, specific ingredients or short cooking times. Each recipe contains step-by-step directions and photos to make it possible to prepare dishes you’ve never tried before. Use the stylus or simple voice commands to “turn the page.” A tap of the touch screen lets you adjust the serving size automatically, and users can write and save cooking notes, just as they would in a paper recipe book. The Cooking Guide chef talks you through the entire cooking process. Recipes include photos of the dish as well as instructional videos on how to perform different cooking techniques, such as how to chop an onion or clean a fish. Users can access a handy reference function to explain unfamiliar terms and cooking techniques when they appear. The software includes a timer and calculator, as well as a search function to help you find what you’re looking for. Men – Would you like to receive gourmet chocolate as a bday gift from a niece?

He’s turing 57 and has a sweet tooth and the chocolate I have in mind is in the higher price range but I’m not sure if that is a little weird…

Any other suggestions?

He is 57 , he will love it.

The fact that his niece remembered his birthday is cool enough but if you get him something he likes you are the best.

What 3 items should I get my mom from this olive mill? Olive Oil, Balsamic, Truffle Oils?

My mom loves cooking and loves gourmet food, so for Christmas I was going to put together a gift basket of items from the Queen Creek Olive Mill located out here in Arizona (she lives in Ohio). I hear wonderful things about their regular Extra Virgin Olive Oil and also some of the flavored EVOO’s particularly the Blood Orange Olive Oil, so I wanted to get her each of those. I only have the budget for about 3 different bottles and I’m not sure what to do for the third. I’d like to get her some truffle oil but is that weird to give her 3 different olive oils and no balsamic vinegars? Should I substitute one of the other olive oils with a vinegar? To all the foodies and cooks out there: which combination would you like the best?

I’m adding on a few other goodies (tapenades and nuts) but it’s the oils that I’m not sure what to do about. Keep in mind this is an olive mill, so they are known for their olive oil, not necessarily their balsamic vinegars, but they do go hand in hand. They also have a pomegranate balsamic that looks interesting. What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

if its possible, give her a citrus flavored vinegar and then cut the citrus oil, sub it with the truffle oil. I did that for my friend one year, she loved it.

If you’re in the LA area, I remember this great fresh market. They made fresh kettle corn right in front of you! It was the most delicious thing, especially when warm!
